I hope your summer has been filled with relaxation, joy, and time to recharge. As we gear up for the 2025–2026 school year, we are excited to welcome you back and can’t wait to begin another year of learning, growth, and connection!
I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Megan Hanson, and I am honored to serve as the new principal at Springfield Elementary. This will be my first year as part of the SPCS community, and I’m thrilled to join a school known for its strong tradition of excellence.
Before coming to Springfield, I worked in Millard Public Schools in a variety of roles, including assistant principal, instructional facilitator, HAL facilitator, math interventionist, and classroom teacher. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, an Elementary Math Specialist Certification, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership.
Outside of school, my greatest joy comes from my family. My husband, Nathan, and I have two wonderful children — Kinley, who is starting 8th grade, and Holden, heading into 5th. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and I plan to bring that same sense of care, connection, and commitment into my role as a school leader each day.
I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and working together to make this an outstanding school year for our students. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, stop by, or introduce yourself—I am eager to connect and partner with you in support of our school community. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!
